Introduction to Motorcycling (IME)
This is a one to two-hour, first-touch experience with a motorcycle and is not a learn to ride class. It is a familiarization program that lets you experience the primary parts and controls of a typical motorcycle through an on-the-bike experience where you will actually operate the motorcycle in a safe and secure situation. The objectives of this experience are to allow the student to decide for themselves if they want to continue on and take the New Rider License Class. It is a quick, low-cost way to see if you think motorcycling is for you. We provide the motorcycle and the helmet for the experience. You provide full finger gloves, long sleeves, long pants, and over-the-ankle footwear with a heel no more than 1 to 1 ½ inches. You will get to see, touch, sit on, and operate one of our training motorcycles in a safe and non-demanding environment under the supervision of our MSF and Georgia Certified RiderCoach. The professional MSF and GA DDS certified Ridercoach will review the MSF Basic Rider Course used by GeorgiaMotorcycleRiders.com to teach new riders to ride safely on street motorcycles. After completing this program you should know if motorcycling is for you and if you want to continue to follow your dream and learn to ride a motorcycle.

New Rider Class
You can expect to have 5 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of on-motorcycle instructions. A Rider Handbook will be provided and is yours to keep as a valuable reference after your class. Experienced Rider Class
The Experienced Rider Course is a one-day workshop designed to improve your skills in braking, evasive maneuvers and turning. It provides the experienced motorcyclist with the “street strategies” necessary for survival. Using your own motorcycle, you’ll put into practice the techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, cornering and swerving. You will also discuss with your peers how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risk, increase visibility and optimize your lane position. This course also provides valuable information about protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care, and the effects of alcohol and other drugs on riding.

First Street Ride Experience
Your first street rides can be very exhilarating, but is often a time where you are very nervous. Let us help calm your nerves and escort you for your first rides. After completing your MSF Riding Class successfully, getting your license, your bike, and motorcycle insurance, GeorgiaMotorcycleRiders can arrange to have an experienced rider join you for your ride. We can plan a short, low traffic ride plan that will allow you to focus on your new riding skills while cruising through some of the rural back roads of Fayette County building your confidence and skill levels.
