CC’s Motorcycle Training

Hello, I’m Michael Childers, co-owner of CC’s Motorcycle Training, Inc. I was born and raised in Geneva, Florida, and now live on Dunn’s Creek in Satsuma with my wife of 31 years, Fern. We have four married children, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and another on the way. We’ve always loved country living, attending San Mateo Church of God and Victory Christian Fellowship in East Palatka, and spending time fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR and football. When our schedules allow, Fern and I also enjoy riding together—she rides a Vulcan 800 Deluxe and I ride a Vulcan Vaquero. I proudly served four years in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1979, earning an honorable discharge. After my service, I joined my father’s roofing company. When his business closed in 1983, I continued building a 32-year career in the roofing industry. My passion for motorcycling began around age nine when I received my first Briggs and Stratton mini-bike, and I have been riding ever since. As my roofing career approached retirement, I decided to turn my lifelong passion into a profession. I successfully completed the Basic Rider Course, the Experienced Rider Course, and the Rider Coach Prep Course. Today, I am a certified Rider Coach through both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Florida Rider Training Program. Our company slogan, “Honor the Ride” and “Get Certified,” reflects our core mission. This training goes far beyond earning a certificate. You will learn proper motorcycle handling, essential safety practices to protect yourself and others on the road, and how to ride with confidence.
