Overview
Northeast Florida Safety Council was founded in 1942 by a group of dedicated Jacksonville business leaders who saw our community's growing traffic problems and wanted to do something about them. That same sense of purpose drives us today. The three leading causes of road fatalities are alcohol, speeding, and not wearing a seat belt. We know a strong safety culture makes a difference—for businesses, for employees, on the job, on the road, and at home. Now a nonprofit serving nine northeast Florida counties, we have five facilities, dozens of partners, over 25 team members, and more than 1,200 environmental, health, safety, and traffic training courses ready to meet your needs.
