At Major’s Motor Works, our focus is simple: teaching you how to drive. You might wonder about our name, which sounds more like an auto dealership or repair shop. The truth is, “Major” is simply my nickname. I chose it because it’s personal, and it gives us the flexibility to explore other areas of automotive innovation in the future. Our mission is to help drivers of all ages build real confidence behind the wheel. We prioritize safety by teaching you how to eliminate distractions and stay fully focused on the road. Some might call our approach “old school,” but we believe in time-tested fundamentals. We emphasize proper turn signal use, blind spot checks, looking over your shoulder when backing up, and keeping your phone away while driving. These proven habits, combined with modern training techniques, form the core of our program. Becoming a skilled driver takes dedicated practice. That’s why we provide one-on-one instruction in dual-control vehicles, allowing you to learn entirely at your own pace. You will master everything required to pass your DMV driving test, along with essential real-world skills that the standard exam doesn’t always cover, like handling inclement weather, night driving, and parallel parking. Our training routes include residential neighborhoods, rural roads, county and state highways, and freeways, so you’ll know how to navigate different environments safely. Our goal is to expose you to nearly every scenario you’ll face on your own, leaving you fully prepared with zero surprises. Please remember that passing your test is just the beginning.
