Since 1951, nearly 15,000 teenagers and adults have trusted Tom’s Driving School to help them become safe, confident drivers. Founded by Tom Ferraro Sr., we remain a family-owned and operated business—and the oldest driving school serving lower Fairfield County, including Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside, Byram, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, and Bridgeport. Our state-certified instructors and friendly staff are here to guide you every step of the way, whether you’re getting your license for the first time or just need a refresher. With over six decades of experience, we offer flexible courses tailored to your needs and even provide motorcycle lessons.   • Full Drivers Education Program

    PARENT/STUDENT CLASSROOM As part of the driver’s education class, parents must now attend a 2 hour session with their son/daughter. This session is held once a month on a Monday from 5 30-7 30pm. Pre-registration is required. BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING Although students may start classroom without a permit at 16, they must have their learner’s permit in order to begin driving. Driving lessons may be scheduled by calling our office or on-line at . Cancellations, for any reason, must be made 48 hours in advance or there will be a charge for time reserved. TESTING FOR LICENSE When all DMV and Tom’s Driving School requirements have been fulfilled, Off-Site testing for a Connecticut Drivers License is available at Tom’s. The DMV administers the road exam, using Tom’s car. Off-Site testing is done twice a month and pre-registration is required.
