Phil's Driving School has been proudly serving the greater New Haven area since 1948. Our mission is to create safe, courteous, and prepared drivers. We combine decades of experience with patient, hands-on instruction to help students of all ages feel confident behind the wheel. From your first permit to your road test, we'll guide you step by step. Our comprehensive programs cover real-world traffic situations and rigorous safety training, teaching you how to handle emergencies calmly and responsibly. Our Teachers Our friendly, professional team is here for you Monday through Friday, and we have instructors available by phone 24/7 to answer your questions. Every instructor is patient, skilled, and genuinely invested in your success. Our Cars You'll learn in a modern, easy-to-drive fleet that helps build your confidence from day one. Our Curriculum We teach the AAA How to Drive Curriculum, developed by national traffic safety experts. We also enrich it with our own expert-developed materials created by Casey Hubelbank, who holds a Master's degree in Health and Safety Education from Southern Connecticut State University and a Professional Certificate in Driver Education from the Connecticut Department of Education. Our Partners Learning to drive takes a village—instructors, parents, and community role models working together.
