Online courses and typical classroom-based driver education fall short of building the real-world skills young drivers need. They come to understand the dynamic limits of a 4,000-pound vehicle by doing, not by being told to “be careful.” No lecture can truly convey the dangers of driving, and no video teaches defensive driving the way getting behind the wheel does.
