At Excel in Driving, our blend of high-quality classroom instruction and hands-on behind-the-wheel practice prepares you to become a safe, responsible driver.

We serve teenagers under 18 earning their first license, first-time adult learners, experienced drivers looking to improve their skills, and seniors adapting to their changing physical needs.

With ten years in business, Excel in Driving is built on a strong foundation of educational experience. Owner and founder Dick Moritz brings 33 years of teaching in the Denver Public Schools, plus 35 years coaching youth sports for ages 6 to 18. In 2005, he transitioned into professional driver education as a Colorado-certified driving instructor and examiner. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to helping students succeed on the road.

Our philosophy prioritizes student safety and patient instruction. We believe effective teaching breaks down essential driving skills into clear, manageable steps. At Excel in Driving, we apply a modern, practical approach to driver’s education so every student can learn with confidence.
