Overview
Thanks for taking the time to research your motorcycle training options. Before enrolling anywhere, we strongly recommend driving by and seeing the actual classroom and riding ranges. If a school does not clearly list its training locations online, call and ask.
Our facilities are located at 8820 N. Washington St., Thornton. We founded BLACK B.A.G. Training with one clear goal: to deliver high-quality instruction at a fair price. Our top priority is ensuring that new and continuing riders get properly trained and stay safe on the road. While all schools offering the Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCourse use the same standardized curriculum, we believe our approach and facilities make us an outstanding choice for your education.
As our motto says, "Your safety is our business." Here is what sets BLACK B.A.G. Training apart:
Motorcycles: Our well-maintained fleet includes Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha motorcycles with engine sizes ranging from 125cc to 250cc. Weights range from 250 to 325 pounds, and seat heights span 25 to 33 inches. We also offer 125cc scooters.
Pricing: We believe in transparent, competitive pricing. You will know the exact cost of your course upfront, without having to navigate a lengthy registration process. Our MSF Basic Rider Course is $220, significantly lower than the $350 charged by other Denver-area schools for identical training.
Referral Program: When you refer family or friends, we want to show our appreciation. We offer a $10 incentive for every successful referral. To receive it, your referral simply needs to provide your full name when they register.
Classroom Facilities: Your comfort and safety matter. We provide a permanent, climate-controlled classroom with running water, a microwave, a refrigerator, and proper indoor restrooms. Parking is available within 50 feet of both the classroom and the riding range, making breaks convenient and stress-free.
Riding Facilities: Our training range is a dedicated, smooth-paved lot reserved exclusively for students. You will never encounter crumbling asphalt, uneven patches, or shared traffic here.
Lunch Options: We are within walking distance of a Wendy’s and over 20 other neighborhood restaurants, making it easy to grab a meal during breaks.
Instructors: Our company is owned and led by Bob, an active MSF RiderCoach Trainer who earned the MSF RiderCoach Trainer of the Year award in 2005 and 2011. Bob brings extensive EMT experience, American Red Cross training certification, and expertise in Accident Scene Management. Our current staff includes one RiderCoach Trainer and one highly skilled RiderCoach.
Our Philosophy: Once a student, always a student. If you do not pass your class on the first attempt, or if you simply need more practice, you may retake the same course for free on a space-available basis. We are the only school in the area offering this guarantee. If you complete the course but are not ready to buy a motorcycle right away, you are also welcome to return for a refresher at no extra cost. We want you to succeed.
Beyond Riding Skills: Learning to ride safely is only part of the journey. We believe every rider should know how to handle health emergencies and assist others at the scene of an accident. While our MSF classes focus on core riding techniques, we also integrate practical "what-if" scenarios and road emergency preparedness. For those seeking deeper training, our American Red Cross courses cover essential first aid and emergency response skills tailored to situations riders and the public are most likely to face.
We look forward to helping you ride safely and confidently. Welcome to BLACK B.A.G. Training.
