Online Driver's Education: We offer an interactive online driver's education course, which is required for teens
however, it can be taken by anyone. Teens are required to take a certified, state-approved driver's education course prior to applying for their permit. Upon completion, a certificate will be issued. All teens will be required to have the original certificate to apply for their permit. At Bill's Defensive Driving School, our course is completed online on your timetable. It is very interactive, has the feel of a video game, and takes the student on a road trip across the country. Many students complete the course in a few days. Not only does the course focus on the laws, but also on the rules of the road. There is no time limit on completing the course. IGottaDrive.com, our online education partner, welcomes all Online Driver's Education students. The course is licensed by the California DMV (license #4590) to replace the standard 30 hours of classroom time.

Teen/Parent Driving Program
At Bill's Defensive Driving School, our lessons are all private in our new dual-equipped mid-sized sedans. We never have more than one student in the car. Our teen/parent program is unique, because we not only allow parents to ride along, but we actually strongly encourage it. We invite parents not only to see their child's progress, but also to observe how a professional, certified driving instructor teaches. Considering that parents have a 50-hour driving responsibility with their teen (as required by the DMV), and we only have six hours, who is the real teacher? We want to expose you to the very best habits so that you can become a much better driving teacher yourself. Enroll you or your teen in our teen driving school today! We are primarily concerned with your teen's safety. Working together, we can deliver a consistent message and techniques to ensure that your teen is practicing safe and defensive driving skills.

Senior Driver Program
Advancing age or medical problems do not have to prevent an able person from driving. Bill's Defensive Driving School has worked with clients who have suffered strokes and those who have had other physical or cognitive impairments. Our senior driving school helps senior citizens regain the confidence to drive on the road, as well as sharpen defensive driving skills. Bill also has worked as an advocate for many senior students in dealing with the DMV. The process can sometimes be quite intimidating and confusing. It really helps to have someone with Bill's experience to help walk you through all the steps and to make sure you are competent in your driving skills. In helping seniors prepare for their behind-the-wheel driving test, some clients may only need a lesson or two, but in some instances, more lessons are needed to correct bad habits developed over the years. Refresher courses can benefit many senior drivers on the road, reducing insurance costs and reassuring families that their loved one is a safe driver.

Adult Nervous Driver Program
If you are an adult nervous driver who wants to learn to drive, but you've put it off because of fear and anxiety, we can help you. Perhaps you have your license, but your skills have lapsed. Maybe you have a license from another country, but you don't feel prepared to take the California driver's test. Or maybe you have lost your license due to traffic violations. Bill's Defensive Driving School has helped adults in all of these situations. Clear, specific directions provide a step-by-step method of gaining driving skills. A sense of security is also provided by the fact that our cars have dual-controls, so if you freeze up, we can take over! If you're more comfortable with family or friends along for the ride, that's fine too. Bill's Defensive Driving School has experience helping adult drivers regain full driving privileges they may have lost due to illness, an accident, or cognitive issues. The DMV can be very severe in the restrictions they impose on people with medical conditions, vision problems, etc. We know how to navigate the maze of technicalities and paperwork involved with the DMV and doctors, and we are ready and willing to help. Some employers may require an employee evaluation or defensive driver training. We will evaluate the employee and can help the employer determine if defensive training is necessary. The freedom and privilege to drive is not only a freedom, but often an urgent necessity for most of us. Bill's Defensive Driving School understands this, and we want to help you regain this freedom and responsibility as soon as possible. If you are a nervous driver, we can help you out.
