A Message from the CEO The Academy of Driving was founded in 2011 to meet the need for high-quality driver education in Sacramento and the surrounding areas. We take great pride in training safe, defensive drivers, and in the summer of 2013, my son Joshua joined the company to help carry that mission forward. My background is deeply rooted in driver safety and evaluation. I spent 30 years as a DMV examiner before retiring and spending three years as a driving instructor at a local school. This extensive experience, combined with up-to-date knowledge of traffic laws, allows us to offer focused, one-on-one training. You will work with the same dedicated instructor from start to finish, and we provide convenient pick-up and drop-off at your home or school. Every lesson is carefully structured and outlined in our detailed session syllabus, which is available on our website. Parents receive a progress report after each drive, so you will always know exactly where your teen stands and how their skills are developing. Transparency and consistent communication are central to our approach. We believe learning to drive should be straightforward and stress-free. That is why we never require upfront payments, long-term contracts, or hidden fees, and we do not charge cancellation penalties. We are committed to offering flexible scheduling and the best possible value for your investment. We are also one of the few driving schools that will schedule your DMV appointment and drive you directly to your official road test.
