Our founder and lead instructor, Walter Branch, brings more than 17 years of teaching experience to every session. Over his career, he has logged over 2 million training miles and 50,000 hours in the passenger seat with a flawless record: zero accidents and no traffic citations. The oldest of eleven children, Walter helped raise his younger siblings and later devoted years to mentoring young people who needed steady guidance. Grounded by his Christian faith and quiet humility, he consistently leads by example. For more than 15 years, he maintained a perfect attendance record and routinely stepped in to support his colleagues. He has patiently taught students ages 15 to 99, always focusing on safety, defensive driving, and personal responsibility. Local media have recognized his contributions, and his peers describe him as a coach who brings out the best in his students. Walter also developed a specialized training tool that captures essential driving techniques, which is now used by instructors across the country. In 2000, the Driving School Association of California honored him with its very first Instructor of the Year Award. Training Programs

  • California Online Driver's Ed

    The curriculum is recognized by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Graduates of this home study program will receive a California DMV Driver Education Completion Certificate. Allow 7-10 days for certificate to be mailed to you. Course must be completed within 45 days from purchase. Tablet friendly and the final exam can be used to practice for your permit test.

  • Behind the Wheel Driver's Training | 2 hours

    The State of California requires six hours of behind the wheel training to be performed by a licensed driving instructor. Training is conducted in (3) three (2) two hour sessions ($100.00 per session) with free pick-up and drop-off, seven days a week from 8 00 AM to 9 00 PM. Rain or Shine. Students must have the first lesson with an instructor before their permit is valid to drive with a parent. Students are aggressively accelerated according to their capabilities utilizing defensive methods.

  • Classroom Driver's Education

    Classes will only be held if 5 or more students enroll. We offer 1 classroom location in Pittsburg, CA. (30) thirty (50) fifty minute periods of classroom instruction in accordance with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Class consists of test, text, video and lecture. We provide class for two weekends or for four Saturdays please call for class dates.
