Overview
The economy is on the mend, and as job opportunities shift, the trucking industry is booming. A new wave of demand for experienced drivers is here—and A-1 Trucking Driving School can get you ready in as little as two weeks for your CDL.
We’re a California-certified school that’s been in the trucking business since 1975. Along with CDL training, we specialize in construction vehicle operation, including transfers, doubles, and flats. Our campus features a spacious training yard, and our friendly, patient instructors are available seven days a week to work around your schedule. We’re conveniently located in the Bay Area, with training in Hayward.
We guarantee that within three weeks, you’ll be on your way to a brand-new career. Our students have the highest graduation rate—over 90%—and enjoy lifetime career services assistance. New graduates can earn up to $40,000 plus benefits, while experienced drivers make up to $80,000 a year. We offer both Class A and Class B truck driving programs.
Truck Driving Salary Expectations
Truck driving remains one of America’s highest-paying professions. In your first year as an over-the-road (OTR) driver, the average salary ranges from $35,000 to $40,000, plus paid vacation and a 401(k) retirement plan. We’ll connect you with leading companies. But being a good driver is just the start—we prepare you for lifelong achievement by coaching you on interview skills and job-seeking techniques that help our students succeed in the industry. Throughout training, we work closely with you to build a professional attitude and work habits employers value, from filling out applications to presenting yourself with confidence. Pay for truck drivers typically includes hourly wages with overtime, while long-haul earnings vary by miles driven, hours worked, seniority, type of truck, region, and the kind of freight carried.
At A-1 Truck Driving School, we equip you with the knowledge and skills for a wide range of entry-level jobs in the trucking industry. You’ll learn defensive driving techniques essential for passing the Commercial Driver’s License exam, with a strong focus on safety and a thorough understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Rules and regulations for operating heavy-duty tractor/trailer equipment.
A career in trucking has never looked better!
