Overview

For over 25 years, Westwood Driving School has been helping students become safe, confident drivers. Since 1985, we have specialized in professional driving instruction for both teenagers and adults, and we are committed to making your learning experience straightforward and enjoyable. Our team of friendly, punctual, and highly trained instructors includes both men and women, all licensed by the California DMV. State law requires instructors to complete at least 60 hours of training, but we require additional ongoing education to ensure our teaching methods stay modern and effective. We offer flexible scheduling seven days a week and provide high-quality instruction at reasonable rates. To save you time, we include complimentary pickup and drop-off at your home. This is especially convenient for working professionals and parents who would otherwise struggle to arrange transportation for themselves or their teens. We conduct all lessons in late-model, dual-control vehicles that are regularly inspected, fully insured, and bonded. Our school is officially licensed by the California DMV (License #3642), which you can verify directly with the department. For students under 18, we offer state-required Driver’s Education either in a classroom or online. After completing the course and passing the DMV written exam to receive your permit, you will finish the mandatory six hours of behind-the-wheel training with us. We also cater to adults, whether you are learning to drive for the first time or need a refresher to rebuild your confidence. Our lessons cover essential vehicle control, traffic navigation strategies, traffic laws, freeway driving, and emergency procedures. You will never be locked into a contract. Start with a single lesson, or choose our six-hour behind-the-wheel package, which is ideal for adult refreshers and DMV road test preparation. If you decide to continue later, you can easily upgrade to a larger package and simply pay the difference. You control how many lessons you take, whether it’s one or twenty. To further support your success, we offer a discounted DMV Road Test service. You will take your official test in the same dual-control car you practiced in, using routes you are already familiar with. This greatly increases your comfort level and your chances of passing on the first attempt. Ready to take the first step? Call us today to schedule a trial lesson and see why so many students choose Westwood Driving School. We look forward to helping you earn your California driver’s license.
