High Desert Driving School was founded in 1991 to fill the gap when public schools phased out driver’s education due to budget constraints and a shift toward state-mandated core coursework. As one of the first commercial driving schools in the region, we developed teaching methods and policies that many others have since adopted. We were early pioneers in offering online driver education, but we never compromised on the quality of our in-person classroom instruction. Customer service is our top priority, and we have built a strong reputation for reliability and personalized care. While some take shortcuts, we remain committed to excellence. Because safe driving saves lives, we treat this responsibility with the utmost seriousness. We intentionally limit our fleet to six vehicles to maintain close instructor attention and ensure the high satisfaction our students expect. Today, most of our new students come through referrals, a clear sign that they feel the training is well worth the investment. We proudly serve the entire Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys and bring over 25 years of experience in driver education and behind-the-wheel training. Pick-up and drop-off are available throughout our service area, and our programs accommodate drivers of all ages, including teens, adults, and students referred by the DMV for driver safety courses. After 15 years on Division Street, we moved to our current location at 829 W. Avenue J, Lancaster, CA 93534, where we have operated for the past decade. We remain under the same ownership, keep the same phone number (661.940.8835), and are conveniently located across from the former Park View Middle School, just east of 10th Street West.
