MiraCosta College Drivers Education

One of the only in-class drivers education programs left in North County! Certificated instructors interact with students, using guest speakers and contemporary audio/visual aids. Our program uses the brand new version of "License to Drive," including the textbook and videotapes. We truly believe that classroom drivers education is the most important class your child will ever take. Together we can make a difference in what they learn and how well they learn it. The experts will tell you that the biggest advantage of classroom drivers education is that students interact with other students and learn from a qualified professional and not a computer screen. It will also help when they take get their learners permit and take Behind-the-Wheel Drivers Training couse.

Sign up for both programs at the same time and pay $360. This is a $30 savings! Individually, Classroom Drivers Education is $90 and Behind-the-Wheel Drivers Training is $300. Behind-the-Wheel Drivers Training sessions meet at Carlsbad High School, El Camino High School, Rancho Buena Vista High School, La Costa Canyon High School, Sage Creek High School, MiraCosta College Oceanside Campus, and MiraCosta College San Elijo Campus. Satisfies all DMV and Department of Education license requirements.

Once you have completed your Online Drivers Education course and received your Certificate of Completion, you can get your learner's permit at the DMV. After you pass your learner's permit test at the DMV, you will be able to register and receive driving dates for your Behind-the-Wheel training by calling 760-231-1221.
