Overview

Promoting Lifelong Safety & Health Safety Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1934 to reduce injuries and save lives by empowering our community to make positive, life-changing decisions. We fulfill this mission by promoting lifelong safety and health through a wide range of community and professional programs. We help instill safety values in children, reinforce safe decision-making in teens, and build safe riding skills and strategies for motorcyclists. In the workplace, we cultivate a culture of awareness and responsibility. Our alcohol and drug programs empower positive behavior change, and we provide older adults with tools to adapt to the effects of aging. We’re passionate about safety, committed to empowering people with life-saving decisions, and dedicated to ethical relationships. We believe in the power of unique, innovative solutions to make a lasting difference.

  • Alive at 25 Defensive Driving Class

    Alive at 25 keeps teen drivers safe by developing defensive driving attitudes & skills Identify attitudes that cause speeding, distracted driving and other risky behavior Develop defensive driving skills and strategies to avoid unsafe teen driving situations

    Teen safe driving simulator develops defensive driving skills to reduce teen car crashes Provides safe “behind the wheel“ experience in scanning and recognizing hazards Reduce teen driver error by practicing defensive driving in complex situations Most effective when participants have had some behind the wheel experience first

  • Motorcyclist Training Course | 21 and Over

    MTC- The Motorcyclist Training Course focuses on basic motorcyclist safety and street riding skills. Successful completion of the course waives riding skills test at California DMV Classes are 10 hours of on-cycle training and 5 hours in the classroom Certificates will be mailed out after successful completion of the class $258 for 21 and older, $180 for 20 and younger – motorcycle & helmet included Student must be at least 15 and a half years old on the first day of class to participate in this course
