Gold Country Driving School

Gold Country Driving School was founded in 1995 by Melissa and Ron DeLaney, who set out to make a positive impact on road safety throughout Amador and Calaveras counties. We offer online driver education, behind-the-wheel training, RV instruction, off-road 4-wheel drive coaching, and defensive driving seminars that meet OSHA requirements for businesses. With decades of combined experience, Melissa and Ron lead a team of licensed instructors who operate multiple training vehicles every day. Every instructor is licensed by the California DMV and has passed the rigorous testing required by both the state and our school. We continually improve how we train our instructors and students because we believe that building knowledge, judgment, and confidence behind the wheel is the best measure of success.
