Since 1996, Mike Thomas and Tessa Zertuche have helped drivers of all skill levels build safe, reliable habits at AllGood Driving School. We're proud of our history and remain committed to promoting responsible driving for years to come. We offer online driver education for teens across California, and hands-on behind-the-wheel training in Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sonoma, Marin, Calaveras, and Tuolumne counties, as well as select areas of Yolo and Placer counties. Whether you're getting your first license or want to refresh your driving skills, we'll guide you every step of the way. Our mission is simple: we build better drivers through clear instruction and honest communication. New drivers earn their licenses with confidence and a strong safety mindset, while experienced drivers gain practical tools to sharpen their techniques and share the road more responsibly. Our instructors are friendly, patient, and highly trained. They combine industry best practices with proven teaching methods to create a calm, stress-free learning environment. Your peace of mind comes first. Every instructor passes a thorough Department of Justice background check, drives a clearly marked company vehicle, and carries both a valid DMV instructor license and a company photo ID. You'll always know exactly who you're driving with.

  • Teen 2 Hour Behind the Wheel Driving Lesson #1 | Sacramento & San Joaquin Counties

    Usually booked immediately after you get your permit. The first 2 hours of behind the wheel training sessions of the 6 hours required by DMV for teens under the age of 18. Teens are required tby DMV to complete the first driving lesson prior to being allowed to use their permit. This first appointment for teens validates the learner's permit so that students can legally begin practicing with their parent/guardian, or any licensed driver over 25.

  • Behind The Wheel (Teens)

    Teens are required by DMV to complete 6 hours of Behind the Wheel Driving Lessons with a professional licensed driving school prior to taking a DMV drive test for a driver license. We conduct our lessons in two hour increments, for a total of 3 lessons required before a teen may return to DMV for a drive test. You will need your permit before you can do any lessons. You may schedule your appointments at any time you like, but we recommend taking your first lesson right after you get your permit, your second lesson a couple months later, and your third lesson a couple weeks before taking your drive test.

  • Behind The Wheel (Adults)

    Adults 18 and over are not required by DMV to take any behind the wheel driving lessons. However, many adults have lost a license for various reasons, need to get their license in California for the first time, or simply want to become a better driver. If that is you, our instructors can help you meet your goal. We have worked with the California DMV for over 20 years and know exactly what it takes for you to pass your test.

    We will bring the student to the DMV immediately following the final 2 hour driving lesson with us (includes final 2 hour driving lesson).

    On a day following the completion of the student's final driving lesson, we will pick the student up 1 hour before their scheduled drive test time to review (includes one hour review lesson.)
