American Honda Rider Education Center
Training families since 1959
Overview
The Honda Rider Education Center provides a dedicated space for riders to learn and grow. Honda established these centers to help students build safe, confident, and smart riding habits in a controlled, supportive environment.
As the first motorcycle manufacturer to design facilities exclusively for motorcycle, ATV, and side-by-side training, Honda offers purpose-built instruction. The centers train more than 11,000 riders each year, with classes open to all ages starting at 6 years old.
Every coach is a fully certified instructor. The coaching staff includes both male and female professionals who are highly experienced, enthusiastic, and committed to making every lesson safe and enjoyable.
The Colton, California location was Honda’s first Rider Education Center and also serves as an Environmental Learning Center. The two-acre campus features trails that wind through five distinct ecosystems and showcase more than 2,500 plant species. Riders experience realistic grassland, chaparral, woodland, riparian, and desert terrain, all carefully modeled after the natural landscapes of the nearby San Bernardino National Forest and Mojave Desert.
