Welcome to ALOHA Driving School in Livermore, California! We’re DMV Certified (License #4146) and we genuinely love what we do. Every team member is Live Scan fingerprinted, and our female-owned school specializes in respectful, professional teen instruction. We offer DMV‑certified classroom and online drivers education, plus completely private behind‑the‑wheel training. For local students, we provide home and school pick‑up, and we’re fully licensed, insured, and bonded. ALOHA is a locally owned, independent business. You’ll find us at 1857 First Street in Downtown Livermore, where the Chamber of Commerce welcomed us with a warm grand opening celebration back in 2004. My name is Karen Murray, and I founded ALOHA because I saw a need for a new kind of driving school in my hometown. I grew up here, graduated from the same high school many of my students attend, and I remember what behind‑the‑wheel instruction was like more than 20 years ago—there weren’t many options to learn from a female instructor. That, combined with a lifelong dream of running my own business and working with young people, set everything in motion. I left my career in telecommunications and poured my energy into building a school where learning to drive is based on knowledge, skill, and facts, not fear. I dedicate a large part of my classroom instruction to the dangers of drinking and drugged driving, and the devastating effects of distracted driving. Keeping teens safe behind the wheel motivates me every day. I’m grateful to have taught thousands of local students, and I look forward to helping many more become responsible, licensed drivers. Beyond their credentials, they truly enjoy working with teenagers—which matters when that’s the primary age group we teach. Our staff includes school teachers, YMCA directors, coaches, former youth group leaders, and career driving instructors. They’re patient, thorough, and focused on one main goal: turning each student into an excellent defensive driver who understands the huge responsibility that comes with a license.
