At Pacific Coast Driving Academy for New Drivers, we believe coaching students behind the wheel—not just giving instructions—is the most effective way to build safe, responsible driving skills. Our curriculum draws on international research and best practices, specifically adapted to California’s Highway Transportation System (HTS). This comprehensive, holistic approach to driver training covers a broad range of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and risk factors to prepare students for the real-world challenges of today’s busy roads. Along with core skills like vehicle operation, control, and traffic driving, we focus on the specific risks novice drivers face—including how personality and lifestyle choices can affect driving and personal safety.
