Arizona Traffic Survival School
Overview
This 8-hour Traffic Survival School includes a lunch break and is distinct from the 4-hour Defensive Driving course. While Defensive Driving is primarily used for citation dismissal and monitored by the Arizona Supreme Court, Traffic Survival School is sponsored by the MVD. It is required for drivers cited for red light violations or those specifically ordered to attend. Please note that Traffic Survival School will not dismiss your citation, but it is often a mandatory requirement to reinstate your driver’s license.
