North Little Rock, Arkansas (AR)
Diesel Driving Academy
Training families since 1972
Overview
Diesel Driving Academy was founded in June 1972 by Abe Busada and M. B. Chastain in Shreveport, Louisiana. Early training sessions took place at an airstrip in DeSoto Parish, near Mansfield. Starting with just one truck and trailer, the academy quickly expanded.
As students from across Louisiana—particularly the Baton Rouge area—traveled to the Shreveport campus for CDL training, DDA opened a second location in Baton Rouge in July 1987. Following that immediate success, a third campus opened in Jacksonville, Arkansas, just north of Little Rock. In April 2009, the Arkansas facility relocated to its current Little Rock location.
