My name is Amell Evans, and I serve as a Senior Master Driving Instructor. I am proud to be one of over 150 AAA Lead Instructors worldwide. After 31 years teaching at a local competitor in Anchorage, Alaska, I opened Be Smart Driving Academy, LLC with the blessing of the former owner, who was also my friend and mentor. The road has changed significantly since you first earned your license. At Be Smart Driving Academy, our instructors stay current with the latest vehicle technology, updated traffic laws, and modern safety practices. Our main priority is keeping you safe. We teach using the “Be Smart Way,” a learning method that highlights how everyday driving requires constant awareness and responsible decision-making. By staying alert and informed, we can all become safer motorists and help keep our community roads secure.
